I am trying to decide on where to go for Memorial Day, and was considering Lake Tahoe. Does anyone know if Caesars, Harvey's or Harrahs spead a poker game? If not is there anywhere in Tahoe that does (I know I can find games in Reno, but would prefer Tahoe for scenery, etc.)?

When I had gone there about 4 years ago there was a poker rooom at Caesar's (they had 7stud and 1-10 spread limit holdem, I believe), but I had heard that it shut down.

Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't been there in almost exactly one year (Mother's Day weekend 2002) but Harvey's had a 3-6 HE and 1-5 Stud game going most of time, in addition to a bigger HE game on Saturday night (I think it was 10-20 w/ half-kill, but I could be wrong).

Horizon was about to open a room at that time, as well. These were the only places in South Shore that had poker. Probably a good idea to call them both up and check on status...I think someone posted here a couple months ago that Harvey's was doing some remodeling around the poker room, and it might have been closed temporarily, so you might want to ask about that as well.

Good luck!

i wish I could answer this better, but I've only been to south lake tahoe - crystal bay area.

There was one small casino near the Cal Neva resort that had a 2-6 spread limit hold 'em game on weeknights (after 7pm) - there's only 2 poker tables in this place.

On weekends they had a 10-20 Crazy Pineapple hi-lo game going - that was interesting.... Never had played it before, and left up $40, I was happy

Harvey's spreads 1-5 stud, 3/6 holdem, 4/8 omaha (occasionally) and 10/20 holdem w/ 1/2 kill. The 10/20 game is pretty good, lot of regulars, not sure if it is just a weekend game or not, but it goes friday and saturday nights for sure.

The Horizon opened a card room a while ago, they were spreading 1-5 stud and 2-6 hold'em, and I heard they sometimes have a pot limit holdem game.

I much prefer Harvey's.

I was playing at Harvey's (3-6) in April 2002. They had a bad beat jackpot of sorts...anytime you had pocket Aces cracked and showed your hand on the river...you were paid $20 on the spot. I would have absolutely no idea if this promo is still going.
