Do not slowplay. You have good hand. Raise flop.

with all of the draws out there in a pot this big a raise will not protect your hand, plus my equity goes up on a safe turn

Your hand is nowhere near as vulnerable as, say, TT on a low low low draw heavy flop. Raise the flop while all these fools are willing to pay you. If the BB is betting a draw, who is going to bet the turn for you?

The bet was from BB, so if he were to lead the flop again you would not be able to protect your hand on the turn.

You already have a monstrous equity edge, raise the flop for value.

You should definitely raise here. You should only wait for a safe turn card (in this spot) when a lot of turn cards might cripple your hand (which makes you want to fold), and there are no such cards here. So raise for value.

yeah, i guess this was not the best spot for this play, im currently re-reading SSH and just got through the protecting your hand section, but i do see the differences with this and where it would be correct now

Yeah this is more similar to the AA hand from SSHE I think.
