hey, these four hands really seem to trouble me in mtts, so i just wanted some advice, when you have an about average stack, how do you proceed with these 4 hands in EP, MP, and LP. Do you just limp and wait to see a flop, or double it, or triple the blind? And if you're in position and miss the flop and sense a weak check from the first person to act, do you take a stab at the pot or just check?

These type of hands are all about what type of the action in front of you and the type of players you have behind you. If there are people in the pot in front of you, you have to look at if they raised or limped, if they play a lot of pots or not will they stay in on weak draws, etc. For the people after you, it is about if they call, will you know you are behind, or are there people that call with almost any suited cards. It's always a good idea to raise an unraised pot, just so if you have something like A-10 and someone in the blind checks with 10-4, that you don't wind up in a world of trouble when the flop lands 10-4-3 and the BB has a well disguised two pair. Trying to play hands like these to any kind of set guideline is a major mistake.
