Thx for all the great response in my last post. Here comes another one and I have a feeling this one is worse.
MP3 is a TAG.

Check-fold the flop.
Why did you raise?

Raise pre-flop, for the love of Gord. You are just asking to get isolated (like what just happened here).

Either just fold the flop outright or peel the flop and fold the turn UI (and please note that said flop call would be thin... probably should just dump it). You are behind the majority of his possible holdings, and as such you way overplayed your hand.

I raised because everyone will continuation bet HU, especially a TAG. Then I tried to take it down on the turn.

I figured I would scare Ax away with the raise; the hands I dominate.

You get it heads up with just Ace high, a few outs to improve, in a kind of a small pot with an easily dominated hand against a TAG.

Against a preflop-raiser? I dont think that's an ragged ace. Can be anything. But even some pocketpair is better than you at that moment...

raise preflop

I really don't like this flop line, unless you know villian isolates with marginal hands, and lets go easy postflop.

you dominate A8, and maybe A7 .. you are behind the rest, and I doubt he's raising much lighter than that

Thx for all the response. I paid too little attention to the possible holdings of the TAG. He obviously wont raise me up with Arag and he dominates me with everything else. So I could only win with a 10 (30%?), an ace(50%?) or a fold, which probably wont happen. So I have around 3 outs combined with my line of thinking.

A clear fold on the flop or maybe even preflop in retrospect.

He turned over JJ.

1. Don't open limp in 1/2, except with a good multiway holding on a very loose passive table.

2. Stop the postflop betting and raising when you have nothing. Especially out of position and into a preflop raiser. Have you gone mad?

I can honestly say I don't think you played any street right. Open limp is bad, getting heads up with a PFRing TAG with a weak ace is bad, flop check-raise is bad, turn bet is bad, river check OOP is bad.
