Loose, passive online 2/4 game.

4 limpers to me in BB w/ K8. I check.

flop comes 5 7 8 rainbow

SB checks, I check, MP bets, LMP folds, Button raises, SB folds, I 3 bet, MP and Button call.

turn is a 2

I bet, call, call

River is an A

Its checked through, I take down the pot.

Button starts razzing me about "three betting an 8 on the flop". I figured it was raise or fold, anyone play it different?

"Button starts razzing me about "three betting an 8 on the flop"."

--Which begs the question: Why's he raising with a hand that can't beat an eight?

I think you did fine. Unless the button and/or initial bettor are particularly passive, this is an easy raise.

He raised a 6. Doesn't an 8 beat a 6.

Against most LL opponents I would bet the river. You were going to call a bet anyway, right? The board and your strong play protect you from a raise.

You three bet top pair, pretty good kicker. Nice play. Apparently, that was more than he raised with.

would bet the flop?? If not,U should have bet out--otherwise,u are probably giving the field a free card when u might have the best hand. However,if u were almost certain that one of your opponents would bet,u played it very well.

I probably would have bet the flop, but if I had checked like you did I would have check raise 3-bet also.

when people say stuff like that to me, i say something like, "it's so obvious that you didn't have anything"
