No. Not OK. Call.
If he's holding a 3 then he sucks because he just went runner-runner gutshot. Highly unlikely.
If he's holding a 7 then he probably called a gutshot draw on the turn without odds, meaning he sucks. If he sucks enough to call the turn without odds then he sucks enough to be playing something other than a 7, right?
Maybe he slowplayed a turned flush. But maybe he made a set on the river or 2-pair. Too many maybes to fold.

/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I dunno I dont usually make this fold but maybe good players do.

Definitely call. You can't rule out an awful slowplayed set (though if you folded I guess it would have worked) or two-pair or random junk bluff.

I call too. You have to consider that given the action, he's putting you on a overpair at most. This makes 2 pair combinations a possibility for a river cr.

must call. unknown BB would c/r if he hit a set or 2 pair on river, or easily could be bluffing. you've shown strength, but not anymore than an AK, or KQ might
of course straight is possible but you're getting 11-1 and it's HU
Unless he was extremely proud of 7's or 8's paired, you've got him. I wouldn't have folded. Hindsight says I might have checked the River. Then again, sometimes I do things like you did and raise. Still, I wouldn't have folded, even after he re-raised.

yeah I don't think this is close at all, especially without a read. If the guy was a LPP calling station who never c/r'ed, then I can maybe see a fold...but here?

If you never folded a set for one more bet at the end, you wouldn't be that wrong.

Nope. It's pretty horrible. I would raise many worse hands as an unknown here.

There are obvious exceptions, like when it goes 2 bets on the turn 3 ways with 4 to a flush on the board and you don't boat on the river.

thanks for beating this into my head everyone. i didn't feel great about the fold at the time but i at least thought it was close. this is what running bad does to me.

If you never spoke about poker in absolutes again, you wouldn't be that wrong.
