Yes i know it's saturday, i'm posting it a day in advance to get it out in the open hopefully get a nice showing for tomorrow.

I started this last week and I think i'll keep doing it, aslong as theres .. well any interest at all.
There wasn't a set scoring system last week, but i think i'm going to use what P5's is doing for the WCOOP leaderboard.. but tweaked a little bit.

.3 * Entrants - Finish + Bonus.

Bonus = 50 points for FT, 100 points for win.

So for 1400 person tournament that you win.

.3 * 1400 = 420

- 1 = 419

+ 150 in bonuses = 569.

(and the score has to be >0.. so if youd ont finish top 30% it's 0 points)
-----
I'm listening to suggestions on the scoring system, if anyone has any ideas. (and if you were curious, i'd have won last week w/ this scoring system too..)
-----

Ok so these are the tournaments included:

8:00 NL $3
9:00 NL $2
9:30 Stud $1
9:45 NL $3
10:00 NL 1
10:15 NL 2
10:30 NL 1
10:45 NL 2
11:00 NL 1

--------
Defending champ: Exitonly4 (I rule!)

--------

Send $10 to Exitonly4 to get in, acceepting $ from now till 9:30pm tomorrow.

--------

Hope i didn't forget anything, if i did lemme know..

Good luck everybody.

yea was just about to say that... they're on sunday, monday and a few other days during the week... but not friday or saturday.

you could still participate and only play the first 4 or 5.

Or you could man up and go to work with a little less sleep /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

So looks like we should have a dececnt prizepool.

I have to drive to the airport so i'll be gone most of the day, but shouhld get here right before this thing kicks off at 8:00EST.
So if i' mnot answering any questions, it's still on, and i'll answer when i get back.

This sounds like a lark. I wouldn't mind in (can't do tonight though). The Sunday night micros suck, generally, for people like me (in the UK and starting work 4 hours after the last Sunday night micro kicks off). If people are around and want to do this one Friday night, that'd be cool...

09-18-2005, 08:34 PM
Well, I just busted out of the $3 on this hand. Did I play this right or should I have raised more pre-flop?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

BB (t3240)
UTG (t3095)
UTG+1 (t1115)
MP1 (t785)
MP2 (t1655)
MP3 (t1545)
CO (t2480)
Hero (t1115)
SB (t3290)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, 2 folds, MP3 raises to t90, 1 fold, Hero raises to t270, 1 fold, BB calls t240, UTG+1 calls t240, MP3 calls t180.

Flop: (t1095) Q/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP3 bets t300, Hero raises to t845, BB folds, UTG+1 calls t845 (All-In), MP3 calls t545.

Turn: (t3630) Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t3630) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t3630

UTG+1 has 2s Qd (three of a kind, queens).
MP3 has Kc 8c (two pair, queens and eights).
Hero has Ad Ah (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins t3630.

The same thing happened to my kings earlier, all in on the flop, other guy had Q8s, and his third Q hit on the river. Should I be raising more with these kind of hands? In that one, it was 25/50. He limped UTG, I raised 3x bb from button or co (can't remember).

Thanks,
Will

I think your pre-flop raise was fine. I would do the same...you just got unlucky. The only way I would raise more is if I'm at a table where players are willing to call all ins pre-flop. A lot of times in the low buy ins players will call with weak hands...

Ugh, starting to get tired. SN=thatfnmb

Tourney # 1-289th, when a guy decides he needs to call 80% of his chips with KJ soooted.
# 2-522nd, classic Stars coin Flip My KQ vs. 8's. All-in PF, flop Queen, Turn Queen River 8
# 3-Just went out #291, No idea what I was doing, don't think I've won a pot yet
#4-1099th, Somehow got my money in PF with 10's vs. 5 3 sooted vs 8's vs. KQ o in a 8k pot (I made the first all-in call which was probably bad) and lost.
#5-T2849
#6-T1400
#7-T3400, Already flopped a set and doubled up
Waiting for #8 & #9 to start

09-18-2005, 10:50 PM
Currently 43rd place with 9.1K at the second break on the 3+0 that started at 9:45. Shot up to 5th but then had trash and lost some chips with AK v KK.

Out in 667 in the 1+0 starting at 10.
Good move? I was way behind the pack, though I'd take a chance to try to double up.

I was trying to think of something that would attract the bigger stake players..

maybe a seperate larget sidebet? like $100? could get a $1000 pool going probably.

Only dont know if people would be interested in a $100 side bet for a colleective $19 in buyins. But these thigns are fun, and i think it's fu nto compare results w/ lots of people, and these buyins can get the most 2+2ers in.

-----

and i startted off on a bad note, but i think i might be able to make a run at defending myy title... doing well in the few i am still in.

As for the proposed changes, moving to friday would be cool if it means more people could play, also I understand there is an o8 an friday, which is way better than stud for me.
As for paying multiple places, meh, I think unless we get a lot of people in, it's better to play winner take all.

I'm still fuming from my bustout hand in #5 in which i looked down at QQ in the bb (which is 3k/6k with 300 ante) I have a stack of 11 orbits. utg is very weak tight, and raises 3xbb which was the typical opening raise for the table. my initial thought was to call and push any non ace or king flop, but the loose passive sb called making it an easy push. Both players call, and have AK and AQ respectively, an ace flops. Oh well, it was actually a fun change of pace and I may do it again next week.
