Does anyone like this play?

I was hoping to checkraise on the flop, but he bet so much i figured he was pushing a weak ace or 2nd pair.

It is the last hand of the level.

I have no idea what he has when he pushes unfortunatly.... - about the same top 22,648% of hands that he raises with preflop is my guess...

I think you are ahead enough to call although big stacks often have more luck on turns and rivers.

Hi Oliver,

I think you played that hand fine. I'm certainly not folding here and I think its reasonable to either try to checkraise or bet out 1/2 to 2/3 pot here.

What range of hands do u put him on when he makes that huge overbet? The same kinda hands i put him on?

09-17-2005, 08:28 AM
I'm putting him on an ace, I would surprised to see AK, but I'm expecting to see another ace and hoping his kicker is lower than mine and that he doesn't hit it. However about 10-20% of the time he'll have some really random hands as well.

Normally opponents don't seem to make these massive overbets with a set or 2 pair so I feel very comfortable calling, really only fearing AQ.

BTW, it's probably better if you posted the actual hand results afterwards so that the responses can be more objective.

I think it was fine, and that you should call the flop, as you did.
