you definitely need special monitors for "high stakes nl". regular monitors just wont cut it during intense shorthanded "high stakes nl" action. dont ask the wrong person, you dont want to get stuck with a monitor made for other limits. maybe a dell representative could help you?

Post in computer tech. I'm sure they'll know. But if you wanna do it right, get two Dell 200fp's.

most vid cards support it.. if not buy an older graphics card that is designed to support dual monitors.. its pretty much plug and play from there.. may need to download some drivers.. i run 4 monitors no problems, didnt have to download anything.. all 2001 fps, which is what you should go with. holla

k guys thanks for all the help...buying 2 of those dells right now. Btw raptor what kind of vid card would u recommend getting?
Sorry i posted this in wrong forum...figured i might as well ask the ppl who r actually using dual monitors rather than the small stakes ppl.

KILLAH BRING IT ON!!!!!

This is the only correct answer.

Obviously you must be able to connect two monitors to the back of your PC. If you only have 1 connection on your video card, you need to purchase one that has 2.

This is going to sound really dumb but im really computer illiterate. On my 9200 there seems to only be 1 output for another monitor...do i need to buy an adapter or if not where does the 2nd monitor plug in?

there should be a white DVI outlet and a blue standard VGA outlet.

the FP's will come with the cords to plug into those.

You have two flatscreens to a laptop?

How much did it cost all together?
Im currently using two crappy CRT's connected to a stationary comp..

about 2k for the laptop, the dell 9200/9300, and the monitors you can get for $1050 for a pair, although i paid more than them a year ago.

the set up is freaking awesome. obnxnole, my roommate, just got the montiors as well.

By the way, I don't even use my second monitor anymore, and I stopped once I moved up to 3/6. I play strictly four tables now; no more, no less. You'd probably find more 5+ tablers in small stakes /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Also, the 2001 is lame. Check out the Dell 2405 (24" widescreen LCD), it is amazing. You wouldn't want two of them though, it would honestly be too big.

I am so glad others are making fun of you too. You are such a moron that I am suprised that you can play at 1 table, nevermind attempting to play 8.

You can only connect Dell monitors to a Dell computer. I thought everyone knew that.

Please sit at all my tables. Thanks.

I am planning on buying a 9200, but why 2 extra monitors (rather than 1+laptop)? Aren't you able to 4 table with no overlap on the 9200 itself (or did you wants 3 screens)?

Would it be possible of you to post a pic of your setup? All other multitablers that I have seen use a desktop but I need a laptop and am curious to get some ideas.... Thanks /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Splash -- Virt here...

I recently purchased 4 of the Dell 24' widescreens and I love them. Only one is used for poker, the other 3 are for the market.

PEACE and good-playing...

ill try to get around to posting a pic tomorrow when i get to my place.

basically, i have a docking type station set up on my desk, with my laptop plugged into my two monitors, mouse, keyboard, printers, etc.

I actually had two 2001FP's hooked to my old desktop, but it works great with the laptop, and I dont find it a waste of money.

everything on the monitors is so much bigger and clearer, which is huge when im playing 4-6 tables. no squinting rocks.

plus, i enjoy wasting all my money on electronic toys that i dont really need. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey Virt!
Those look insane....how many tables can u fit on 1 of the 24s? Just the normal 4 or more?

09-18-2005, 02:29 AM
4 @ 1920x1200 -- they fit perfectly... You can find them on Ebay at 1k a pop, sick deal...

lol, actually, i have a desktop, but had my laptop set up too so i could see 20 tables at a time the first time i tried it. didnt like it, overlap is better than using a laptop too. holla
