I have a gutshot straight and there is $160.50 in the pot, $20 to call, can i call with these odds because of implied odds on the river with 3 people in? What is the general rule for minimum pot odds to call with a gutshot on the turn?

thanks

6 to 1 on the river if U make your hand. U are about a 11 to 1 dog. HOWEVER,I'm assuming that there is NO flush or house possible or big Str. draws.
If there are bigger Strs., flushes,or boats possible,U are even more of a dog with your gut-shot.Since there is 160.00 on the turn and it will cost U 20.00 to see the river, your immediate pot odds is about 8 to 1. But if U make your Str.,U will need to contribute a total of 40.00--20.00 for turn and 20.00 for river--while each one of the other two players contribute 20.00 each at the river. Hence, the pot will be 220.00. Since U will contribute a total of 40.00 if U hit your river card, your effective pot odds on the river is 220.00 to 40.00 or about 6 to 1 .
But if there are flushes, boats,or higher strs. possible, then U will be even more of a dog.
It's definitely a folding hand.

Sitting Bull I agree that he should fold but not because of your reasoning that it cost him $40 to call because of his river bet. If he misses his hand it only costs him $20 which is 8 to 1 as the pot is now. If he makes his hand and it is good it does not matter how much he puts in on the river. In fact if he is sure the other two players will call a river bet if he makes his gutshot then a call isn't really that bad but personally I still fold the hand here if that is my only out.
