$11 - Using the aggressive check

I sometimes do this if I'm in early position and want a free card. If I'm in EP, nobody raised preflop, and I want to see the turn, I'll make a min bet on the flop. This is because if I check I may get a free card, but someone may also bet enough that I can't call. They probably cancel each other out, but min-betting has the added effect of maybe getting them to fold, and sweetening for when I hit. Also, when I hit, my hand should be well-disguised.

Good Idea...bad spot. The weakest players in the game min-bet flush draws. Well...now that I think of it. If you min-bet 30 into 2 limpers then it will probabally deter them from making a play for the pot with a 150 bet which you obviously cant chase after. If they raise to 90 you can call that easy and check/fold missed turn. I like the min-bet

Okay on the other hand. If the pot WAS raise preflop, min-betting is aweful because they will jam it down your through every time.

Does anyone disagree? I will fight this one to the death.
