Nice loose Party .5/1 table...4-6 players seeing the flops, nobody reading the board very well, not a whole lot of preflop raising going on. Let's play (preflop is standard, IMO, so let's start with the flop decision):

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, Hero calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) T/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (6 players)
BB checks, Hero ?

What's your play?

I nearly always bet this - but I don't know if it's good or if it's a leak. I do know that it seems like we have equity to do it - but I'd like to hear other's opinions

Ok, not much excitement, there. Hero bet, hoping CO would raise, which he did, and Hero called. Here's the turn:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO raises, Button folds, BB folds, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (9.25 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero ?

I didn't 3-bet the flop because I didn't want to scare off MP2 and ruin the value from instigating a raise from CO, and also to setup a check-raise if I hit my hand. So, now you know what I was doing, what would YOU do?

Yeah, that's what I thought...I totally effed up the turn. Should have donkbet, but I had check-raise in my head when I called the flop raise...and I lost some bets from MP2 because of it. Here's the rest:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, Hero calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, Hero calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) T/images/graemlins/club.gif, 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (6 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO raises, Button folds, BB folds, Hero calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (9.25 BB) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, Hero raises, MP2 folds, CO calls.

River: (13.25 BB) 9/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Final Pot: 15.25 BB

He raised you once, he'll probably raise again. And you'll profit.

[blind post on flop decision]

I know I'm late, but I want to jump in here and post my thoughts. (Not because they have particular value, but because I'd like to compare them to others.)

So I say check here with intent to check/raise. I know we have a very strong draw, but I'd rather have CO bet and get a couple calls before I raise. If I bet, one of the MP's could fold, CO raises, and then I'm not extracting as much as I can.

OK, so it really doesn't make a difference. There are two players between me and the CO on either side, so in fact it's probably better to bet out, since people will be more likely to call my out-of-place bet. Yay for 180's.

[blind post on the turn]

I say bet out again. You got a perfect card - bet out and hope MP2 calls and CO raises. CO will probably bet if you check to him, but then you just blow away MP2 and only end up getting two bets anyway.

Bet. We want to build the pot, since we have a strong draw.

Bet, CO might check behind. Even if he bets, your raise is likely to drive out MP2, who might be calling with something ridiculously weak.

If CO has a monster, he might reraise you /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Please keep in mind i'm a noob.

I bet here. You've got the As and 9s for your straight, any spade for a pretty good flush draw. I'm not really afraid of any hands (that I could buy out) right now or I would c/r to try to put them out. J or Q looks like a bad card to hit on the turn or river though, because AJ or AQ has the straight then. I'm probably check/calling the turn if its a blank.

That turn was uninteresting, since the river is always going to be bet/raise/3bet/cap.
