I'm thinking about driving down from Denver next weekend to Sandia just north of Albequerkee (surely spelled wrong, I suck at spelling). This is a long drive and I wanted to be sure it was worth it. I was there once about a year and a 1/2 ago and thought it was a great club. Nice new room with huge tables. I believe they had about 12 tables. Action was incrediable. I'm mostly interested in 10/20 hold'em, but 20/40 is ok also. The dealers, floorpeople and most of the other players were as friendly as any casino I've ever played in. The Indian girls who kept the board of players waiting for seats were especially friendly. The only thing I didn't like was they used all their tables for the tourney and when I busted out 1/2 way through there must have been at least 50 names on each list. So I drove down to Isleta casino on the south side of town and while it was ok, it was much smaller, not much action and kind of dark and not well kept. The people and the floor were all very nice though. I had to wait about an hour before I got in the one hold'em game they had going. I did get immediate seating in the Omaha High. A game I had never played (I've played some O/8 on-line). Miraculously I won quite a bit in it. Basically I got run over by the deck.

When I played at Sandia the next morning a couple of people had played all night. One of them said he had to wait until 3 AM to get a seat after busting out of the tourney. How typical was my weekend at Sandia? Any other comments are welcome.
