I was watching some episodes of Weeds and it got me thinking which of these shows was probably my favorite and then I was thinking of which show was probably the best and figured my favorite wasn't the show I thought was the best. Anyways discuss away.

Give me a break if I forget any.

Is it possible to 'edit' a poll? Because I"m going to boycott if I don't see The Larry Sanders Show as an option.

This poll has some glaring omissions. One poster said Dream On, which was an excellent show. First and Ten was probably the best early HBO show. To put Arliss in the poll is insulting to every other show.

That being said, Curb is by far the best show HBO has ever had or will do. New season starts on the 25th, get excited.

As resident HBO fanatic, I figured I had to make an appearance.

IMO, the best and my favorite show is one of the less often mentioned shows: "The Wire."

This show is so fantastic for so many reasons, I don't have time to do it justice, but if you are looking for a new series I highly recommend renting/buying the first season DVD and giving it a shot.

agreed, but most of those shows are better.

I think the best is Deadwood.

I don't get more excited for any show like I do when there are new Sopranos.

It is disgusting how everyone is ignoring The Sopranos, perhaps the greatest show of all-time.

A two year layoff will do that. The public is very fickle.

The Wire. Other shows are great, this one is the best thing I've ever seen on TV.

That's a shame. It is always a pleasure to go back and watch season 2 or 3 (my favorites). They are unbelievable and rival any mob movie ever made, imo.

I can't edit the poll that is why I said Swede or someone else so put together a better one with the stuff I left off, Larry Sanders and Dream On where on long before I got into any HBO so I guess I am a noob.

Anyway I really like Dead Like Me and Weeds but Sopranos is my vote for the best show.

And Arliss was funny for awhile and I put it on in case there were any closet fans.
