Im playing 2000nl on party, I am utg with JQo, the game is 6 handed, I decide to raise it to 60 to mix it up a bit. I have around 2.5k, everyone folds to short stacked sb who calls, and solid TAG player in bb who covers calls as well.

Flop 24T rainbow (suits not relevant), it is checked around.

Turn 8, checked around again.

River in the perfect 9, pot has about 180 in it, sb checks, bb bets 75, what's my move.

I felt like I had 2, maybe 3 options. First one was to move all in. Second was to make a solid raise of like 1k, but moving all in achieves the same thing really.

I decided to raise it to 350...

Results later on

Most likely holding are 89 and 76, anything else I don't think is worth mentioning since you won't get more money out of it. Thoughts?

If you agree, this is how I proceed. I think a smaller raise accomplishes what you want in both situations. 89 will call a smallish raise. 76 will probably reraise you.

Really?

Actually now that you mention it "probably reraise" is probably wrong.

Here's what I'm thinking. Is it possible there to make a raise that looks like you have a hand that 76 beats, in other words can you represent a good hand that isn't the nuts?

I guess there isn't really

Good guess, he did have 67o, I was a bit dissapointed he didnt reraise me, but villain was a solid player and he knew that I would fold anything that would lose to 67o. He did take a long time before calling tho.

Anyways, I still think I could of won more money, maybe by raising more or even moving all in, but he might have sensed something was wrong if I did a move like that...

If you push he's not gonna call.

I probably raise pot on river. Solid players wont reraise with ignorant end.

No continuation bet on flop?

if you raise QJo utg and don't normally do so, it isn't only for deception value as you won't hit often enough to make it worth it. if this really is a standard deviation from your usual play, you have to continuation bet, especially on a T42r flop when likely no one has hit! just tell yourself you have AA or KK if it helps.
