Well that's an exaggeration but for starring two very so-so actors (Lopez and Clooney) and one great actor (Rhames) it is very good.

For a second I thought you were talking about this Val Kilmer movie that was on AMC just now. I haven't seen Out Of Sight, just the previews about 3864786 times. Lopez looked fine as hell.

Clooney is great basically for this exact role.

It's Elmore Leonard, right?

It's up there with Get Shortly and Oceans 11 in terms of movies that get by basically on mood and vibe alone.

For some reason travolta bothers me sometimes. Especially in Get Shorty, but if it was anyone else I would agree with you.

Ocean's 11, yeah. Get Shorty, no.

And I agree Cheadle rocks. It took me so long to realize he was uncredited in Ocean's 11 and they hadn't "forgotten" him.

I'll agree with all of this sentiment. The part that always confuses me is how Hollywood has managed to wreck so many great Elmore Leonard novels.

Be Cool (Travolta)
Stick (Reynolds)
Mr. Majestyk (Bronson)
Big Bounce (Wilson)

I'm too lazy to go through the whole list - these are just the films that jump into my head. The only Leonard films that really do any justice to his novels were Jackie Brown and Out of Sight.
