Hero ?

edit: river action removed. ty for recommendation jba.

what is this donk limp-raising with PF? i dislike this turn but can it really scare me? alot of the time limp-raise = medium pocket pair. how would you proceed vs. this opponent after the turn card?

I bet/fold turn.

I like hero's line better than bet/folding turn. I don't like folding here to a some random limp/reraising donk.

I bet/fold turn.

i think i'd be folding the best hand way too often if i did that. if i bet/folded there would be 11 BB's in the pot, and i think i have the best hand enough of the time to warrant a call down.

ya?

I understand the value of getting to showdown, and I really have no idea what to do here at the moment.

However if villain has some stupid pocket pair, the bet/fold line might win us 2BB instead of 1BB.

ps to the OP: you shouldn't have included the river action

if you're planning on calling down a raise, I definitely think checking is better than betting. I think a villain of this sort rarely takes a free card in this spot and often might bet a hand he'd otherwise fold or would check through and call a river bet with a hand he'd otherwise fold...say 22 for example.

Well the numbers are right there: 43/12/1.20

Do you have Villian's AFs by street? That would be very helpful.

numbers aren't gonna help you here. The fact is that a limp/reraiser is gonna be some dumb donk enough of the time that you don't want to fold QQ in a pot of this size, nomatter what type of player his stats "say" that he is.

At first my response was going to be "get to showdown." However, this doesn't seem to be the type of player who could correctly put you on TT-KK and raise that turn with hands that you beat. I think this is one of the rare times I would advocate the bet/fold line.

I would probably check/call turn - is that too weak?

So you would bet/call turn. c/c riv?

Check-calling is the best play by a substantial margin. Pretty standard way ahead/way behind situation. The only possible hand that you're not already way ahead of that is affected by the turn card is KK, which isn't folding to a bet. All other hands you're either way behind -- so a bet is obviously bad -- or way ahead of, in which case there's no benefit to betting because they'll almost surely fold.

no, check/call turn, check/call river. I explained why in my reply to JBA.
