I have been working on the dynamics of blind defense alot lately, not to mention general preflop... openness?

Anyway, 50-100 5 handed.

I get dealt Q8o in the big blind. Everybody folds to the small blind. He likes to play a good deal of hands, but nothing crazy. He raises. I call.

Flop rolls off Ac 4s 2d

He bets, I fold.

I do nothing significant for a round or 2. Then I catch A of spades 2 of diamonds in the BB.

Folded to the button this time. Sometimes he raises, sometimes he folds. He plays so-so post flop. He raises. Sb folds. I call.

Flop comes Qh jd 9h

I check, he bets, I fold.

Not sexy,

I don't see the problem at all. You hit two particularly bad flops.

In the first hand you could call (float) or raise the flop but that's generally best left for when there's an existing dynamic rather than as a default.

In the second hand, that flop is just horrible.

Change the flop in hand 2 to something more acceptable like, Q 7 5 rainbow.

Any change in action?
