Motorola has the worst charger interface imaginable. I am on my 3rd phone of the same model (in 15 months), and the [censored] thing already won't charge 4/5 times I plug it in. I know where this is going, and I'm [censored] sick of it.

And it's not just me or just this model phone, I know of no less than 5 other people that have had the same problem with Motorolas not charging. [censored] YOU MOTOROLA!!! /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Oh yeah, and while I'm at it, [censored] YOU CINGULAR FOR ALL YOUR [censored] DROPPED CALLS TOO! /images/graemlins/mad.gif

GodDAMN I hate cell phones.

motorola may or may not suck, i have not had one in a long time, so i won't comment on that.

however, labelling them the worst phones ever is clearly incorrect. many i think agree that they are the best phones available. however, best does not mean not awful.

I specifically said "worst charger interface" and I stand by this statement - the phone itself would be fine if I could charge it consistently.

i have a razr. i like it and for some reason lots of people are obsessed with them. every time i pull it out someone will be like "omg is that a black razr! let me look at it" cingular service does kinda suck on my campus though.

Is it the V710? I had the same issue and bought a smartphone last week because I was so sick of it.

Does it use the typical Motorola charger interface? I don't know if you nkow what I mean, but I couldn't find a closeup of it.

I believe the model number is V400. They all use the same crappy interface though. We are up to 6 phones JUST UNDER MY ROOF that this has happened to. Can you say "gluttons for punishment"? LOL.

Argh. F it.

Hmmm.....I've had ll kinds of cell phones and service - Sprint, Verizon,etc....butI have to say that my Motorola Razor and Cingular service has been the best so far.

Please don't tell me that - I'd prefer to think there is still some hope...

Maybe it's just New England - where you at? *Edit* Nevermind, I'm stupid - that's what "location" is for.

I should point out the call-dropping thing occurs exclusively while driving. However, I'd say it happens about every 2 miles on average, and it is impossible to drive more than 5 miles or so without dropping a call.

Never had a problem with any of my motorola's charging, but you might want to try a desktop charger. My friend had problems charging his and he said it solved his problems.

Doubtful, I still have the 1st sim chip I got, and they never offered me a new one when I got new phones. Why would they update it, I thought the point was to be able to transfer your info to a new phone easily? Can they copy your phonebook to a new chip?

You can transfer sim data by copying it to the phone, switching sims, then copying back to sim.

i guarantee you if you switch your sim chip, it will cut the dropped calls by close to 100%. they just copy the contacts onto the phone, then copy it back to the sim chip. or they should have a machine which will transport it sim chip to sim chip. go in the store and yell at them for never telling you about it.

I have yet to have a call drop with Cingular or this Razor - I always have a strong signal wherever I am - except sometimes deep within some of the casinos.
