Some of you are aware of my recent tribulations.
Here ya go gimmick man! (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=exchange&Number=3371634&Fo rum=&Words=&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=3371520&Sea rch=true&where=bodysub&Name=491&daterange=1&newerv al=1&newertype=w&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Po st3371634)
The original Doctor [censored] up! I went to an ortho specialist and he did an MRI. NO torn tendions, NO broken bones, just a severe hemotoma(sp) on the top of the ankle. I asked if I could go back to training for my Black Belt and he said, "You can train as hard as the pain you can stand."
Now the bad news. To paraphrase Austin Powers, "That really hurts!", the top of my foot REALLY REALLY [censored] hurts! So if I fall on it, kick with it...OUCH! Good news, I've got 2 weeks from tomorrow to heal before the test begins. More bad news, everytime I work out on it for the next 4 weeks, it will swell up and I'll have to ice/elevate it. More good news, the injury is not permanent, but will heal very slowly while I train.
Wish me luck! I'm back in the Dojo tonight!
