Data from stock/exchange markets from few past years

Hello,

My friend is writing a semester project and he needs vast amount of data from stock/exchange market (not whole market, just few chosen stocks/exchanges). Where can I find something like that ?

Id probably start with bigcharts.com
bloomberg.com has alot of foreign stock info. but the charts are not as good from prior yrs.

You can find historical price data on http://finance.yahoo.com/

Enter a symbol, then on the screen that comes up you'll see a link to "Historical Prices" near the top of the list on the left side. The data can be downloaded to a spreadsheet.
