My phone wasnt charged so I couldnt contact him. So he had to wait on his own, in the cinema foyer for 45 minutes with no idea wtf was happening. I feel so incredibly terrible at the moment, and really want to make this up to him. However, I don't know how you make this up - I took 50 minutes of his time, I can't just buy him 50 minutes of life.

well, i would say first you should give him a ring from the cinema on your mobile (if not charged still, find the nearest red booth) and invite him out for a nice meal of bangers and mash. afterwards you guys can take the lift up to your flat and then you make sweet love to 'is bum, guvnah.
