I was wondering what you guys use for privacy (IP masking, etc) when using a p2p network on programs like ares, morpheus, etc. thanks

You don't use anything for privacy. Anyone who says there's something that can keep you from getting busted by the RIAA short of using your neighbor's network is full of [censored].

If you are using Bittorrent for downloads, then peer guardian is a free app that has an inbuilt database of known 'dodgy' IP addresses. Not sure how effective it actaully is but i have spotted it stoping me getting things from Time Warner addresses etc.

As far as people being full of it, what about downloading on p2p or bt with proxies and peer guardian?

What happens when the RIAA subpoenas the proxy logs? If they want to find you, they will. Although I would agree that peer guardian is a decent utility.
