This was from yesterday, I almost didn't post this but then decided to anyway. Opponent was tight, usually folding to flop bets.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (2 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter (http://www.pokerhand.org)

Button (t9300)
Hero (t4200)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
Button calls t300, Hero checks.

Hero bets t700, Button calls t700.

if i'm villian, i would expect you to play a "3" the same way. given the turn line, i like the "value bet" looking move on the river.

converter is messed up, should be more in on the flop. betting 700 is fine, and ill do the same in most cases. its a 16, so u might could get away with a shove pf. as far as the river goes.. god that looks weak, and hes calling if he has any pair. but.. i doubt he does. i duno 1200 could be an i have a 3 bet.. meh. everythings situational, you were there, you saw the play, you made the bet. if i was to make a bet, i would bet a bit more than 1200 though.. maybe like 1500 or 1600. holla

If he was calling often preflop, I just check the flop to encourage him to keep doing it.

Looked like he was leaving himself 2k....perfect for 1 hand at 600 blinds. Anymore than 1200 with his stack is push material. I liked his sized bet.

That is the reason I bet what I did. But raptor is saying (I think) that it's really not enough to get a fold from any hand better than Q high or K high. Two interesting perspectives, I wonder which is more important; I guess it's an issue of how often you are called here.
