Having more hotties in the game would be great but there are two insurmountable obstacles preventing it.
Since the beginning of time hotties have been attracted by good looking guys or if they are not good looking they better have some cash.
Now look around your typical low limit poker game. The cast of characters usually resembles a group of skid row bums jammed 10 around a table. There is little appealing to most women about a man who is wardrobe and hygiene deficient while exhibiting uncontrollably nervous and desperate body language(i.e. constant chip rattling, leg involuntarily moving up and down like a piston, etc.).

funny thing, some hardcore addicts wouldnt even look twice at this. while all of this is going on, theyd grunt once, look back at the dealer and say, 'deal em!'

It's sometimes hard for me to hang around a live table with the cast of dumpy characters that usually inhabit the place. When an occasional babe joins the table, the guys to her right and left lock on and start telling her about drawing odds and overcards. Babes like attention but not that kind. They lose their $$ quickly and go back to the bar. I've seen a few regulars who are true babes in my time, but their game is usually not good enough to last long, and they may only be there to kill time with and keep an eye on their boyfriend/husband.

As far as exposure goes, the WSOP broadcasts only stay on because huge stacks of money are kind of fun. But otherwise, watching a bunch of guys stare at their cards trying to decide whether to call is not going to make anyone's top ten. Compared to, say, the billiards on ESPN, poker is at least 2 notches below. Something happens more than once every 5 minutes in pool, and they do have some good looking female players. I hear the WPT broadcasts are a little better.

The casinos should start a babe training program and get more of them playing as props or something.

You know, I was initially going to answer in the negative, thinking that I'd rather not be distracted. The more I think about it, though, if it would bring guys to the table just to look at the girls, that would help me (as long as I could stay disciplined enough to not focus on, shall we say, the "flopped set")make more money.

I think the guy is right and that there needs to be a training program for the babes to get them in the game The cocktail girls are nice but u dont get a chance to talk to em. But it any poker room gets some hotties to play ill only play there Theyd be the biggest pokerroom in the world

Yes... the smart girls no which side of the table has the better EV!

It's just like the bar scene:

1. The bartenders and waitresses and owner make the money.

2. The Bartenders and sometimes waitresses sleep with everyone on the bounce.

3. The eye candy is there to attract you and separate you from your money.

4. The Good Looking Rich guys get the best babes and trash them serially as new young gals who don't know the game come and go. Thus the total babes become bitches after being passed around a time or two by the Richie Riches.

5. The plain girls get pissed because the don't get any attention, except by loosers.

6. The poorer ugly guys get pissed because they don't get the hotties... and are paying for the whole damn game.

Conclusion: If you're not good looking and rich, or working at the local pub... best to boycott the damn place.

Remember, a bar or casino is a place that poses as a social institution to take your money.

ive played with some smokin' hot gals once in awhile. a few of them could actually play. theyre not so great looking after they c/r the last of your stack and you have to rebuy. the glamour wears off a little. especially if youre in the middle of a bad run. although, ive found when they accentuate their cans it can be kind of distracting.

Hold up. Pokerbabe is actually female, and is actually good looking? I had always assumed it was a guy who got his kicks by acting like a chick online.

No offense to pokerbabe - never met her, just was following some (apparently) incorrect guesses originating with many years experience on the internet.

As far as hotties at the table - well there are some hot looking dealers and chip runners, though they're few and far between. Most of the cocktail waitresses look like beaten down women with 9 kids at home. Except at Bellagio - they're pretty classy there (though not necessarily hot). The Mirage has some waitresses that look like they used to work at a truck stop in '74.

The Hustler is decent for eye candy. Been frequenting that spot a lot lately. Not great, but better than a lot of other card rooms. I mean that 2 or 3 of the staff members look fine, and it makes up for the cocktail watresses that look like they're pregnant, but probably aren't. I'm usually happy to see one chick per day that I don't find utterly revolting.

Plenty of top two, full racks, and backdoor, but the weak faces are something that I don't want to play - even if I have position.

There are a few of the coctail waitresses in my B&M that I talk to frequently.

They're about my age (25) and they know I'm a Dr. .... that is to say, NOT a gambling degenerate like some of the dudes in there.

Also - there is one hot chick that is a cardroom regular at my B&M, she plays either 15-30 or 10-20 and does pretty well, and she is smoking hot - like 28, thin, tan, blonde, I'm not sure what she does or why she plays, but it's a good sight!
