Yay, I moved up. Woohoo. Here's a hand from my first set. I really really really should have jammed the turn, I don't know why I didn't. Anyone fold the river?

Edit: Oh yeah now I remember why. I didn't think he would call the flop 3bet with a draw.

Because you were multitabling. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think I only fold the river under exceptional circumstances like a table full of utter rocks who I can bully to get my stack back, or a table where everyone limps preflop so that one flop gets me back to a healthy stack.

Otherwise I decide that this is the best use of my last 1000, no matter how bleh it looks.

Not in a million years. And yes, jam the turn because he might have a lot of hidden outs against you (i.e. your second pair getting counterfeited). Don't let him draw out for free.

BTW, you ignored my repsonse to your other thread. What level were you at and what are at now?

i DO jam this turn - he's displayed all of the interest necessary, and the pot is way-huge.

i DO call the river - his raise on the flop looks MUCH more like TPGK, than a flush/straight draw.

...considering the flush/straight draw on the flop, i might reraise a little more here - def. pushing this safest of safe turns.

I actually had about 700 left I think.

Stupid converter.

In that case I can't even fold in the situations I describe.

Maybe if the internet died and only myself and the other guy were left connected.......

He almost has correct odds to make this call with just a flush draw, and he's probably got some implied odds. Also, he could have something like Ax /images/graemlins/spade.gif and think he has 12 outs or a straight-flush draw.

So, push turn. Also, reraise more. I'm a huge fan of overbetting here to get TP to call me and draws to fold. Get all the 8/9 outers to fold and the 6-outers to call/raise.

He had JT. Meh, his outs could have been tainted and he still called me.

Alright, so push turn. We know that. What do you think of the size of my flop 3 bet?

It was fine, given you were jamming the turn.

Does anyone have any concerns about going head to head with the only other stack that can bust me? What if he had 99? The blinds aren't that big yet.

I do, but...he's not cold calling your reraise on the flop with a set - not on this board and your friskyass.
