I was wondering if it is possible to start an interest list at the Taj or Trop for a mixed game at the 3/6 - 5/10 level. If not, why? Do they only do this for high-stakes games? If so, do you think there would be enough interest to get a full table?

You could try but I doubt they'd go for it. Generally the reason there's not a lot of non-high limit mixed games spread is the same reason theres not a lot of PL/NL, the bad players would lose too fast. I would love to play H.O.S.E (or better yet, H.E. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif) but I seriously doubt I could get Canterbury to go for it even at the $15/$30 level - and if it did go, it would probably dry up in 6 months or so like the $30/$60 stud/8 game did. Maybe I'll ask and see what the reaction is.

Just a guess from playing there a lot, this will not happen at lower limits. Usually if you want them to spread a game they usually don't it must be a higher limit game. On the other hand, last time I was there I believe there was a half hold 'em/half stud (or maybe stud 8) game at the 10-20 limit so that isn't ULTRA high to get a bit of what you're after.

Damn, oh well. Thanks anyway for the info. 10/20 is a bit too high for me, at least for now.

Homer -

Perhaps you should get in touch with the poker room at the new casino going up - the Borgata - its opening in July -

How did they come up with that name?

Good luck - I would play 3/6.

just ask the floor or someone taking names. they will probably never do it during friday or saturday nights, but late sat. night when the crowds thin, you might have some luck. occassionally, you will hear them taking an interest list for 1-5 hi/lo stud.

take a couple of friends with you and you will have much more of a chance.

Im pretty sure they would start an interest list for you at any time other that holiday weekends, Im also pretty sure a rotation game wouldn't go, even if you got the list started /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

the other night we played 5-10 with full kill omaha and stud hi/lo. It was a full table and it lasted from midnight to 8am. I think it attracted some attention with a few regulars.
I will be down at the Taj on friday and saturday may 16th and 17th. If we can get enough players for a H.O.E. 5/10 with kill they will do it. anyone in for that leave me a message. If i get more than 8 responses i will touch base with them.

I guess you'll just have to visit Foxwoods more often. They'll start an interest list for any game you can make up. Unfortunately, I doubt the game would actually go. I did play in a 5/10 H.O. game at Mohegan a couple of month ago and would love to again.

Hey Homer,

The Trop spreads a 30-60 Hold em and Omaha game on the weekends.

The Taj spreads 50-100 HOSE. Hold Em, Omaha 8 Stud and Stud 8. The Taj also spreads 50-100 HOS. Hold Em Omaha 8 and Stud.

They hardly ever spread such a game at the lower limits, however they will always start an interest list if you ask.

I would also like to play in a game like that,
