I'm on the button with TT

cutoff-1 open-raises, folded to me, I reraise. He calls.

My read on my opponent is he's somewhat aggressive and I've snapped off a few of his bluffs. Good player overall.

Flop J /forums/images/icons/heart.gif 7 /forums/images/icons/spade.gif Q /forums/images/icons/heart.gif

Yuk. I'm not happy but I bet out quickly. He raises, I call.

Turn: K /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif

Joy. I'm so enthused. I check. He bets. I'm about to fold and I realize I have an open-ended straight draw.

There are 7 big bets in the pot. Plenty to call, so I do.

River comes a wonderful 9 /forums/images/icons/club.gif

I have my straight. For some reason I'm afraid he won't bet, so I bet it out. He calls. My hand is good.

Hand history shows he had JQ of diamonds for flopped 2 pair. He would have bet and called a raise. oh well.

How did I play?

I would have check-raised the turn if I had thought my opponent might lay down a better hand. Most players probably wouldn't (lay down a better hand), so I would probably have played it as you did, except to check raise the river. Since your opponent had taken the lead from you it's quite likely he would have bet the river.
