When I go home for a weekend, my mom cooks for a whole day and makes me a week's worth of lunches and puts them in microwavable containers.

Today is rice, tofu, sprouts, chicken, some other asian vegetable, and a pepsi.

12 ounces is a weak serving of any beverage. I usually only make it through half of the next can though. 16-18oz is an ideal beverage size IMO. 20 oz is too much.

I love that you ordered from 2 places.

Sushi and Sesame noodles seeem light and sort of compliment each other.

Spicy tuna: fine, it's a staple, but then spicy salmon? could've done something a little different. Good water choice.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, spicy salmon was a pretty poor choice. i try to keep to simple/normal stuff when ordering sushi [for delivery], but i should have at least gone not spicy.

i hadnt done the sushi/sesame noodle combo before, but it seems to work pretty well and may get repeated in the future.

Ok, see, I don't like Mustard that much so I feel your dilemma. That's why getting the cheese melted is key, it provides the proper "something" that a spread would for a meat that should not come into contact with mayo.

It's the beef, not the grill. Done.

In all seriousness, there's no discernable char on the burger, which suggests that the grill is doing nothing spectacular. It's also not a charcoal grill given the lack of charcoal flavor. And, no grill can give mediocre beef that great, rich, beefy flavor.

And I sat across from a group of 6 male high school kids that belched and swore as loud as they could and then giggled about what they were getting away with.

I know you are working hard, and I absolutely appreciate the effort. This is my favorite thread in weeks but I have a small criticism.

They institute +'s and -'s between the letter grades for a reason, if you have to go to a furthur sub grade like the above, maybe you should use an old school elementary grading system like, 1-100?

We definitely had slash grades in many of my high school classes. Not on report cards but for tests or papers, I see nothing wrong with it.

I also don't think there are a lot of A meals or F/D meals, and I want to give a grade that I think is deserving, but also be able to differentiate adequately. 1-100 would just be too insane, and 1-10 would end up with .5s anyway. I'm glad you like the thread though, it was inspired by Clark's FF thread.

Shaved ham and cheese sandwich in one of those triangular blister packs from the gas station. They forgot to put a mustard pack in. The bread was a little stale on the outside. I"m more than qualified. I also am not convinced of your SHake Shack assertion and would need something written to convince me.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's the beef, not the grill. Done.

In all seriousness, there's no discernable char on the burger, which suggests that the grill is doing nothing spectacular. It's also not a charcoal grill given the lack of charcoal flavor. And, no grill can give mediocre beef that great, rich, beefy flavor.

[/ QUOTE ]

The meat is the main factor, but it's not just the quality of the meat, it's also the way it's ground and sort of loosely packed that adds to the flavor and texture. The grill itself in this case does little, but a good grill cook can make a big difference.
