ok new thread time

this is a continuation of the long thread below, but hopefully a new one can be established.


i would put forth this definition of music:


music-noise by design.


discuss. i welcome all thoughts. derogatory comments, however, are cheap and will not be responded to.


(this is just a working definition...)

I would suggest that "sound by design" has a better ring to it;-)

One time Mark Twain attended a Wagner opera (and sat through the whole thing). Later when asked what he thought of it he replied, "It was better than it sounded."

i like one movies definition of music (actually it was purpose of poetry now that i think of it) as to woo women.

one might think that i am a cry baby. or, if you read any of my posts, you'd know that i prefer to pursue topics well past the point of some people's curiosity, and sometimes end up beating a dead horse. but i really just like to think about stuff.

now im a dork. i said i wouldn't respond to derogatory comments, and i did. i take it back...
