So a full book of my CD's got stolen out of my work truck in my driveway. My homeowners insurance will cover up to $250 which is roughly 1/3 the cost of the CD's. Auto insurance will cover 0. Here's the catch, they said it wont affect my rate but it will count as a loss claim on my policy. Does anyone know what loss claims do to a homeowners policy? Is it worth it for a few hundred dollars?

Plus they want me to list each CD, the store where I bought it, price I paid, and current price. This alone makes it almost not worth it. Any opinions?

Stupid kids going through cars. At least they missed my $500 GPS unit sitting right on the dash.

How do you not have a deductible on your homeowners?

Same thing happened to my wife. They took her cigarettes and the faceplate to her radio?????

I have a $500 deductible, but for some reason the deductible doesn't apply here. I'll have to find out why not.

$250 = 1/3 cost of CDs

CDs = $750

$750 - $500 deductible = $250 that insurance will cover
