Going to Mohegan Sun in Oct. Looking at the web site looks live no holdem. Can anyone confirm this? I tried a search for "mohegan sun" but came back blank.

They used to have a poker room, but they closed it. Foxwoods (10 minutes down the road) has a huge poker room with a variety of limits. Mohegan has good restaurants though.

If you do decide to got o Foxwoods, be prepared to wait for a seat on the weekends. Last time i went, there were over 100 people in of me on the waiting list for a 2/4 limit game.

Thanks. I figured I would have to go to Foxwoods, but will be with the wife for a show at MS. I hope to get there, as I have yet to play in B&M /images/graemlins/blush.gif

No poker since '02 or was it '03. But, MS and FW both have some excellent blackjack with a house edge of like 0.33% vice like 0.44-0.48% you'd run into in Atlantic City.

What accounts for the lower house edge in Connecticut?

I'll have to double check my sources, but I think late-surrender and doubling after spliting are the two big options available. I've never seen surrender allowed in AC. Basically if you catch a crappy hand like 14,15,16 against a dealer 9,10,A, you can get half your bet back instead of attempting to draw.

Doubling after splitting is permitted in AC, except in the single deck 6-5 blackjack games. Surrender I believe is no longer available in AC.

Closed ~9/03 I believe. I tried to play once after my 21st but they were full with a 6 hour WL for every low limit game.

No market for 2 rooms in connecticut, my furry orange ass.

No Poker Content: Last time I checked, Claridge still offered surrender on the eight deck game. Most AC casinos don't allow resplitting if your third card is the same rank.
