Anybody familiar with the no-limit action in the Bay Area?

What games are spread and where? What are the buy-ins and how are the games?

Thanks for any info...

I believe there's a city ordinance preventing the San Jose cardrooms from spreading no-limit games (something about wagers being no larger than $200) -- they used to have $10-$200 spread-limit games every so often but I haven't seen one spread recently. Lucky Chances often has a $1000 minimum buyin game with blinds of $20-40 (I believe). Artichoke Joe's sometimes gets a $100 minimum buyin NL game going on Sunday evenings -- I think that game can be pretty good. The Palace in Hayward also spreads small no-limit games (I think the buyin is $100). According to an e-mail I received on the BA-poker mailing list:

"No Limit Holdem game is spread Thursday-Saturday
Nights @ 8PM $1-$2-$2 blinds $5 to go with 2 optional
$5 and $10 kills (making it $10 and $20 to go
respectively)"
