A friend of mine has been diabetic for years. When she exercises a lot, has sex, or drinks wine she'll occasionally hit a low blood sugar situation. Her first three short term fixes are V8 splash, apple juice, and regular pepsi. Why? lots and lots of fast acting sugar, otherwise known as empty calories with a kick to the blood sugar situation.
