A couple of Sunday mlb lines that I really, really like.

Milwaukee at +160 vs. Houston

Look, I understand it's Roy Oswalt, but Houston almost never deserves this kind of line on the road. They're one of the worst road hitting teams in the majors. Although in losses, Rick Helling has been just fine in his three starts for the Brewers. Moreover, Oswalt has been ugly on the road, going 6-9 with an ERA a half a run worse than overall. Houston doesn't win this matchup on the road nearly enough to cover this line. Go Brewers.

Baltimore at +169 at Seattle

Quietly, Bruce Chen has actually been pitching pretty darn well over the last month and a half. He hasn't given up more than three runs in a start since July 27th. Felix Hernandez has been great since coming up to the majors, but not markedly better than Chen--certainly nowhere near +169. Seattle is a terrible home hitting team, and Baltimore hits decently on the road. Some nice value in this line, IMHO. Go Birds.

I'm on both of these (small) myself. This is really slim pickins today as I see very little out there. The only one I really really like is the tried and true Yankee/Johnson fade. As always overpriced. Wakefield has a great track record in Yankee Stadium and has always seemed to pitch well there. Johnson has been a little better lately and he has been more effective at home but still I only see maybe a very slight Yankee advantage here and nothing approaching the +161 line for Boston. Good value today I think.

What about the cubbies? I think they are a good value at +110

I was leaning Cubs but it just wasn't enough for me. I think the line is close enough to fair to stay away from. Like I say I had a slight lean that way but not enough to push it out of my margin of error.

Hope your right. I have Mil over 69 wins for the season and have been waiting patiently for it to hit.

well, they have 70 before today's game. I don't think you have much to worry about.

Wow!! what kind of line did you get on this? Had I seen this before the season I would've seen it as a license to print money.

Nice picks, I jumped on board with both of these although I only got +165 on Baltimore, and they turned out quite well /images/graemlins/grin.gif
