There was a thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3209264&page=6&view=expan ded&sb=6&o=14&fpart=all&vc=1) about how it is tough in our day and age telling one's parents that one is a poker professional. Some respondents said they lie about it, others that they tell 'em the truth -- but almost all agree that it's tough on their parents, who disapprove.
Suppose it's after 20 or 30 years, and your son confides that profession X is his primary source of income. Profession X is not breaking any laws, at that time in the future, but you object to it on moral grounds, you cannot understand how such a profession X can make people steady money and you strongly wish your son had chosen something else.
What do you think profession X will be in 20 or 30 years time for you, as a parent ?
