I think folding preflop is good, but on the flop, I think it's a good spot to semibluff push.

Just fold. The preflop raiser has yet to act don't forget. May have been planning a CR. And you ain't getting odds to call your 2nd nut flush draw.

Wow....quite the overreaction.

Did everyone else miss the use of weak as in "weak-tight" too?

I don't think folding preflop is really weak-tight, that's the thing. It is simply not wanting to get into a raised flop with a marginal hand, which will the vast majority of the time hit the flop with only a draw, and because of the fact it's raised before you, you will be priced out of most draws and have to push, or semi-bluff, or something along those lines to get value out of the hand.

And it's not really worth it this early.

Wow you think folding K8 to a raise in level 1 is weak tight? I wouldn't even limp the hand, I must be SUPER weak-tight. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Very good response tigerite. Thank you. I just dont like being called names when I meant no disrespect to anyone.

I still like a preflop call here. There is a minraise and tons of callers behind. I'm getting about a bazillion to 1 and the implied odds are huge. Call me crazy, but I like the call. I need Unarmed to back me up on this one then everyone will call me a genius instead of a fish. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW, I usually fold this but am trying to add some hands early on. I only called because of the small size of the bet and all the callers, making lots of implied odds.

Heh, I was only messing as you well know. He would like to call it if it had been all limped, but minraises are notoriously difficult to read, and often the more callers to it the worse on the flop, because someone will take a stab at it due to the nature of the pot being larger as a result.

I think you should fold on the flop. Guy has made a large bet into 5 opponents on a coordinated board; to me that says two things: he often has 2pair+, and he's not going away.

I also don't like your preflop call....K8s is trash in my book. It combines the worst qualities of hands like A6s and hands like 78s: it's a one-draw hand, and that one draw isn't even to the nuts. Not to mention that even when you flop a draw, as you did this time, you'll still often have to fold.
