Are plays like this at this level -EV? I was almost positive he had AK

its an 11...sorry, i had to kinda fix the converter, didnt realize it wasnt on there

Looks fine to me, especially if its an 11. People don't like folding to reraises at the 11s. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Even if he folds, it's still a nice pot to pick up.

BTW, I don't see how this could be -EV at any level.

There's no way to know this. Don't play against a specific hand preflop (usually not after the flop either); play against a range. The play's fine, especially considering that his range definitely includes 99+ and AQ, and likely includes 66-88 and AT, possibly 22-66 and A8+ or so.

He can have A7 here. QQ is good. Figure out how to get your chips in with the best of it most of the time.
