Hey folks,

Recent discussion of bad Long Island Iced Teas got me inspired.

Tell me your favorite cocktail. If possible, include liquor brand and so forth.

I'll start:

Plymouth Gin Gimlet. Lots of fresh lime. Only a splash of Rose's. Should not look particularly green. Two lime wedges. Up.

Go!

Vodka martini-Grey Goose/Ketel One (I'm indifferent between the two)

I rarely drink cocktails aside from the occasional gin and tonic. Scotch (Lagavulin, Glenmorangie, Glenlivet) or bourbon (Knob Creek, Makers Mark) on the rocks for me.

Bourbon on the rocks. I've been drinking Knob Creek or a small batch Jack Daniels (yes i realize it's not technically a bourbon) lately.

My favorite drink is simple. Bacardi Rum with Coke.
On vacation, I go w/ the more "Tropical Drinks". I like Margaritas or Alabama Slammers.
As for shots, nothing beats a snakebite.

I LOVE a good bourbon... usually rocks, unless I'm really feeling intense and then I'll drink some up.

Baker's is excellent if you haven't tried it, as is Woodford Reserve. Knob and Maker's are also great and they're the ones usually available.

Bourbon Manhattan, straight up. Maker's Mark is my staple.

If you want a good girly drink, try a real Mai Tai, made the old school Trader Vic's way, with lime juice and orgeat syrup -- none of this pineapple juice and crap.

I like the way you think... I haven't gotten into Manhattans yet but it's only a matter of time.

I like bourbon staight or on the rocks, too, but a Manhattan's a nice pre-dinner drink, since the vermouth takes a little of the edge off. When you try one, don't make it too dry -- the vermouth's in there for a reason. And make sure they add bitters -- that's what ties it all together.

tanqueray ten martini, extra dry, but more often its maker's on the rocks or stoli-o/red bull.

My tastes are pretty rough (inexperienced?). I guess I don't appreciate finer alcohol. I like to drink gin tonic, crown and coke, and really enjoy Ceasars but don't order it often.

Jack and tonic, tall, with a lime.
