My girlfriend, a couple of times, half jokingly and half sexily called me Daddy and it bothered me. Then I heard a rap song that had one line like "call me Daddi with an "I"" and then it didn't bother me nearly as much. For me, ending Daddi (or in your case Mommi) with an "I" removes some of the psychological mind F'edness of the whole deal. Kind of like it's a different word entirely. Or then again, maybe I'm just a sick bastard (probably both).
