Fishy's WSOP finals strategy

Fishy was happy when Fishy won a seat at the Pokerstars qualifier but then very disappointed after checking University exam dates, it turned out that Fishy have a Computer Science Laboratory exam for that week!

The exam is now delayed to Friday 2PM GMT. And Fishy booked flight to leave Vegas on the Thursday 12 Noon, arrive UK at 10AM to take exam at 2PM, and so Fishy's strategy is to go all in on Wednesday night.

Negotiation with professors are underway but Fishy is unlikely to succeed due to the strict University regulations.

Being an intelligent boy, Fishy has a 2nd strategy, that is to win the main event in 3 days if possible:)

No matter what happens, Fishy will try to put on a great show representing Pokerstars.

I know this might be a stretch, but see if pokerstars will give you a $10,000 buy-in to a different tourney, It may be an up hill battle, but worth a shot, and perhaps if you offer to show them your final schedule they can work with you in some way. It would be a shame to have to blow it if you are doing well, of course if you still have a lot of chips (or any) at the end of day 3 then screw the final /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif ...... GL

End of day three is when everyone makes the money, 45 places and I think it's $20K.. At this point you have out lasted 600 players, why don't you decide then.

You can check on the wsop qualifier board, I came back 2 weeks ago from a month's Vacation (with my winnings, of course) and so I missed nearly all the wsop qualifiers in every cardroom except stars.
The story was:
Enter last Saturday's and thought I would get a seat but got taken out at 3rd place. 2nd place is for the seat.

I dabbled in 3 of $42 satelites and won a place for the supersat, with $84 in account I dabbled in another 2 $42 tourney and got another seat for next Saturday's but I reliquished it for cash since I already won a seat on Saturday.
I knew I should get a seat this time, that was just for insurance, since last year I normally win 2 out of 5 tournies. But I have never heard of such a winrate, I think it was mostly luck.

Is there any new news "about the strategy" ?
Did he sell his ticket or could his postpone his exams?

My professors agreed to count the exam as void if I don't attend which means that it would be the same as I was ill, normally this exam is compulsory according to University regulations. I will still be able to pass the course IF I do exceptionally well in the exam after this one to compensate.

Fishy will take Computing books and Russian books to Las Vegas to study at night in hotel (Fishy likes to collect exotic languages). Fishy also have very difficult Russian language exams as soon as Fishy come home.

Fishy's strategy is to see how things go after Wednesday night, if Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson is already out then Fishy will go all in and come home, since it will be boring anyway.

Fishy wants a heads up match with Johnny Chan.

Fishy will land in Vegas on the 16th and have 2 days to recover from Jet lag.

If fishy does get a heads up match with Johnny Chan then Fishy will need to buy another flight to come back later.

Fishy may not get an escort this time because Fishy needs to revise for exam during the night, everynight, and if possible bring the book beside the tourny table to read while playing. Sex education is not a priority for Fishy right now, and Fishy must learn to delay gratification.
Hope there will be some Russians at the same table, so Fishy can practice for the speaking exam.
