Tonight's show is expected to be the regular 5/10 or 10/20 NL game, hopefully filled with characters like Jesus, Diablo the plumber, Cooperation Mike and other aggressive players. Last night's game was rather peculiar as some other guy named Mike went on a chip rollercoaster, playing 90% of the hands as his chip stack yoyoed throughout the show. Others who watched last night can describe the mayhem that ensued better than me. As always, check out www.liveatthebike.com (http://www.liveatthebike.com) to follow the action from 9pm-1am Eastern.

Last night was one of the funniest displays of poker I have ever seen. This guy Mike played any two cards and hit everything for a while. The swings in his stack were huge.
He made Corporation Mike look Like Barry Greenstein.

Congrats to Barry Greenstein's son, Joe. He won 13K in the WCOOP #5

Yes.

Bart, do you play stud 8 on Party under LiveBikeBart?

Is his nickname "Cooperation Mike" or "Corporation Mike"? I always thought the latter but Bart's Bah-ston accent might have thrown me.

09-09-2005, 09:33 PM
TJ Cloutier played pro football in Canada.

Erick Lindgren was all-state in California in FB and BKB.

Kevmath
09-09-2005, 09:34 PM
I've used Cooperation Mike only because when looking at rules for the California games, there is mention of a "cooperation", which is what Mike does in the blackjack games.

For those that don't read Cardplayer, Scott Fischman suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.

I think Bebe is still stunned from Ron Rose's call and decided to stop playing aggressive poker (not that he was very aggressive, but the last time he was trying something different.)

This (http://wizardofodds.com/californiablackjack) is where I got the word "cooperation" from, I'll defer to those that are actually in the casino itself as to what it's really called.

Yeah, there are a lot of comparisons to Agassi's run this year with Jimmy Connors' run in 1991. I hope he doesn't sputter out against Ginepri in the semis.

More train of thought ranting on your likes and dislikes please...
Bart i notice you americans use the word Dirt for everything ranging from earth to clay...the tennis courts are clay tho, not dirt!!!
Also , do the two of you think you could beat this game if you had the bank roll?

Quicksilvre

American tennis fans say "clay." These guys say "dirt" because they don't know enough tennis.

Dave, you answered your own question. If BB was on a draw, the $100 bet on the end would have won the pot. We can see BB's cards. The players can't.

I read 4 pages of Baldwin's Omaha H/l section and I'm cleaning up at the play money tables - lol /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think I likey this game

Kevmath
09-09-2005, 11:18 PM
I don't think it takes that much skill to clean up at a play money table. Now if you move up to the 2/4 cent tables and r00l there, you're on to something.

cwsiggy
09-09-2005, 11:20 PM
Well I realize that, but I am new to the game. All I know is play A23, etc, any nut doublesuited, blah blah.

Next step, Full Tilt 1000/2000

cwsiggy

I agree, play money is just to get the knack down. I'm ready for the .02/.04 at Omaha h/l now!

Kevmath
09-09-2005, 11:34 PM
I'd think playing the big freerolls on Stars would be better practice. Yes the play usually is bad the first hour, and you're not really playing for much, but it is good practice. Stars has improved their freerolls by giving the final 3 tables seats into a now $1000 tournament every Sunday.

cwsiggy
09-09-2005, 11:36 PM
Yeah but I'm looking to learn cash game Omaha h/l - Not sure if I need the escalating blinds and tourney structure to mess me up in a new game I'm learning.

I'm just a little bored with limit hold'em - though I love B&M limit.

IMO, Mo should have bet the turn when he his his Ace. There are a lot of cards than can come on the river to beat him.

I think if it were a different player making that move, Bart and David would have disagreed with the play.

Why would anyone want to use Card Player's calculator when there's websites like twodimes.net out there?

Russ McGinley

Because Bart is not a techie.

I wish one of the sites offered play money 7-card ball.

lots of f-bombs. It's like the Wayne's World of poker.

Jive Dadson

Five draw was often played with a bug - a joker that counts as an ace, or as a wild card to make a straight, flush, or straight flush.

I remember Greg Raymer was playing badugi in a 300/600 mixed with Forrest and company at the WSOP this year (cardplayer vid) and they had to call it 4 card rainbow cause it's not allowed in Vegas.

Speaking of old folks...

This real old guy goes into a confessional.

He says to the priest, "I'm 92 years old. I have a wonderful wife of 70 years,
five children, twelve granchildren, and four great-grandchildren that I adore."

"Yes, my son?"

"Yesterday I picked up two college girls hitch hiking. We went to a motel, and
I had sex with both of them -- twice."

The priest says, "My son, do you regret your sins?"

The old guy says, "What sins?"

The priest says, "What do you mean, what sins? What kind of Catholic are you?"

The old guy says, "I'm Jewish."

The priest says, "Then why are you telling me this?"

The old guy says, "I'm telling everybody."

Umm Alan asked Ed if he had a pair. Ed said yes. Alan with a king would have a strong no-pair because an ace flopped. Why did Ed lie? He did not have a pair, he had 3 of a kind. He could have truthfully told Alan he did not have a pair.

Hey everyone, thanks for watching.

Kind of slow tonight - just not too many real exciting hands...What can you do?

As for myself, I was a little bit low energy - stayed up too late playing poker and madden '06.

Tomorrow night will be better - I promise.

What do you guys think about a commentator's game?

any questions or thoughts? feel free to send me a private message.

flatline
09-10-2005, 01:19 AM
A commentator's game would be cool; you could have the degenerates that normally play be the announcers and have them criticize you guys.

Kevmath
09-10-2005, 03:02 AM
There seems to be a thought among some commentators (like Shirley), that it'd be really boring because the play would be really tight and boring.

Tonight's show was pretty dull, but with the move to a 3 hour show, it does help eliminate the dull spots that happen in most shows, usually towards the end of the program.
