limit tourneys, double up or save bets?

suppose your in a situation near the bubble of a limit tourney, blinds are big and you have maybe 5-6 big bets in your stack, you get something like QQ and are agianst a player who seems like he wants to go all the way, do you try to get all your money in reguardless of the flop, or do you slow down and check/call or check/fold on scarier boards?

Edit- i am refering to a sng by the way
also what about 3-4 big bets(not big blinds)
