My wife doesnt like me gambling online so I have to go ahead and hide it from her. Well she is smart enough to know that if I delte the address bar history then I was probably at a poker site so I cant do that anymore. SO now I am using the google and yahoo search bars to go to the sites but I cant figure out how to stop it from stying in that history and how to delete it. You know when you click on the search area and you can see all the places that have been searched. How do I delete this? Thanks

There is a drop down in the Google toolbar. In that dropdown is an option called "Clear History"

Why don't you negotiate with her a monthly gambling budget for yourself, assuming of course that you are a losing player. Tell her the alternative is that the time you would otherwise have spent gambling online will be spent at a strip club.

Also, if you've got a trouble site in the IE history window, you can find and delete just that site. It's in the registry somewhere and it's very easy to modify, I think.

What if you don't have the toolbar?

Aahhhhh, I gotcha now.

From the menu, choose Tools > Internet Options...

In the new Internet Options window, choose the "Content" tab. From the Personal Information section on the bottom, click the "AutoComplete..." button.

In the new AutoComplete settings you will see two separate buttons to Clear Forms and Clear Passwords.

Use the Clear Forms button.

Thank you very much. That may have been embarassing, or at least difficult to explain.

No problem. If this is going to continue to be an issue for you, try turning AutoComplete off for forms. Go back to the same place where you cleared the form info, and at the top of the AutoComplete windo, you can uncheck the use of AutoComplete for forms (and even keep it enabled for passwords if you like).
