PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (7 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

MP2 (t2355)
CO (t2535)
Button (t1595)
SB (t2370)
<font color="#C00000">Hero (t3180)</font>
<font color="#C00000">UTG (t700)</font>
MP1 (t765)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif.
UTG calls t100, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to ???</font>

How much is a proper raise here? Or should I just limp in this case?

PS. the converter is cool

I would push, and let the other guy make the decision. I like this move especially because any smaller raise and he'll just come over the top because he's so short or he'll lay it down anyway, and if you just check you're OOP for the rest of the hand.

Push. Any reasonable raise will pot-commit him if he wants to play anyway. Checking sucks.

Sometimes, in these cases, I like to raise an amount so close to his stack size that it's almost pushing. I don't know why. I think sometimes people are quicker to call 700 all in then push back to a 500 chip raise.

On second thought, if UTG is any good at all, why is he limping with ANYTHING when his M is 4.5 and he is in the blinds next hand? Might be a sneaky play with a big pair. But it doesn't matter, you're obviously not folding your AKs to the short stack!

Easy push. I've seen tons of people limp-call all-in here with stuff you dominate. Sure there's a small chance he has AA, but unless you have a stone-cold lock read, which you probably don't, definitely push.

Unless he lives next door and you can see AA or KK on his screen through the window, definitely push.
