Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (8 handed) converter

BB (t1110)
UTG (t2350)
UTG+1 (t540)
MP1 (t1070)
Hero (t930)
CO (t2455)
Button (t1075)
SB (t470)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 3/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

UTG+1 limped?? i thought people were better at the higher levels. given that this guy limped i would probably fold. but this is coming from a 22'er

There are alot of brilliant players in the 215's, but also quite a few donkeys.

yes, while at the 10s and such people will routinely limp and fold for 1/6 of their stack, you need a good clean read of the player, such as a note that says "will limp 1/6 of his stack utg+1 and then fold to a push" to push in this situation. otherwise, you're walking in to everyone's favorite trap, the either limp or raise 1/2 of 2/3 of my stack when i have a monster that i want to run it out with please please please trap. and well, i'm sure someone out there would think about limping here and flopping a set, but that's not me this morning.

i fold. it's sublime.

i think limping here is the best move. yes you will only have 7x bb left, but the implied odds are huge. u spike a 3 here and good chance you own the table... and while calling you will only have 7x bb left, folding leaves you with 8...

this is an easy limp for me as i am pushing any favorable situation after this hand if i don't spike a 3 on the flop.

in ring game i limp because 10% of the time i'll hit and so if i think i can get 1000 total chips from these 3 (300 already in...2700 is the most i can get with my stack) then it's worth it

but to commit >10% of my stack at this point in the game with no reloads? i'd fold before limping

but
