Hi Guys

Could you please direct me to a website where I can buy american microbrews on-line?

All I can get in Europe is Anchor, North Coast, Great Divide (rarely) and Sierra Nevada.

I'm getting tired of not knowing half the beers that you dudes mention in the beer threads, so I've deciced to buy a selection of american not-normally-available-to-me's

Please?

You might want to edit your title to accurately reflect what you want.

I don't want to be a downer, but you may be out of luck/not willing to pay the extra price to get it.

First off, the US has strict laws regarding interstate transport of beer, wine, and spirits. There are strict restrictions on spirits, but the laws are a little more relaxed for wine and beer. Furthermore, it would be very difficult for someone to ship beer internationally as the possible extreme temperatures and rough handling may significantly distort the character of the beer.

Your best bet would be to contract the brewery directly and ask about international orders.

There is also a slight chance a distributor/wholesaler in your area could special order beers from the US. Ask your local beer store owner. When I worked retail for a large beer/spirits store, we probably kept only 75% of the possible beers in stock while we could special order the rest.

Go to the nearest toilet.
Stick head in.
Open mouth and swallow.

It will save you from paying the high shipping costs.

Skjonne:

Go to Beeradvocate.com and search around on there maybe under Beer 101. I think they have several sites that might be able to ship to you.

I would recommend picking up some Rogue, Stone, and Dogfish head since I think these are the best three breweries in the US. Also Founders is very good.

You might also want to try finding some beers that are hard to find (or not imported at all) here in the US and trading with someone.
