Ok, I'm not asking what people will call with, I'm asking where most opponents draw the equivalence line between pocket pairs and big aces.
For example:
- against a random hand 77 "equals" AQs.
- against any pair any ace, 77 "equals" AJs.
I don't think most players think like that as I think they give way more value to the big ace than the mid PP. Personally, I have always set my calling ranges by subtracting two from the Ace hand. For example, if an opponent will call a push with:
- A8, they will call a push with 66, but not 55.
- AT, they will call a push with 88, but not 77.
Does that sound about right? FWIW, this is why I hate using a top x% system for establishing push calling ranges. I just don't think it reflects reality.
