Sorry if this is already posted, but now that suicide pool is closed for week 1, whom did everyone take? I took the Rams.

I've got the Patriots and the Steelers.

I took the Rams too. I have a feeling I will often be fading the 49ers in this pool.

the thing about the 49ers is that i always thought tim rattay had a good arm @ lousiana tech. the first 3 years of his career he was backing up jeff garcia...last year he had nobody to throw to. I am worried about this game if it turns into a shootout. He might be a good fantasy back up.

Me too. Same reason I picked the Broncos: who can't beat Miami? They might pull the big upset like last year's Monday nighter against the Patriots, but until then, it will be a good run of futility.

I'm not in your pool, but I just looked at the lines and took the favorite with the lowest spread. It turned out to be the Giants.

My strategy is most likely awful, but alas.
