View Full Version : Changing Strategy for Different Blind Structure

Hey all,
I have recently started playing at a cardroom (Bay101) that has a different blind structure than I've ever played. In the 3-6 hold'em game they have the standard $3 big blind, the $1 small blind, but instead of raking the big blind, you are forced to post another $3 (live) on the button which acts as the rake.
My question is this:
How should this change my strategy?
Should I be raising almost any unraised pot with any playable hands on the button?
How much should I defend my blinds? Obviously, with one more person seeing nearly every flop, I should be playing more hands up front that play well multi-way (suited aces, medium suited connectors, etc).
I haven't done as well there because I feel like I'm forced to play too many hands. Does anyone have any suggestions on adapting to my new environment? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif Thanks in advance!
